I Am Carina And I Speak For The Books!

I am Carina, and I speak for the books! I read books because I love to and I write reviews because I need to place my thoughts in "paper". My reviews are honest. Usually not mean, but I can't make promises. Even when I don't like a book, I try to be as nice as possible. And when I love a book, I'm not going to lie, there might be some Fan Girling and Gushing.

Lord of the Fading Lands (Tairen Soul Series #1)

Lord of the Fading Lands - C.L. Wilson What was that comment I made on my book update?.....Oh yeah! Holy crap this book is good!Last year I read a fantastic YA Fantasy book named Dragonfly. It is great. The world building, the details, the adventures, the pictures the author weaves in your head in order for you to trully see the book in your mind are outstanding. I hadn't found another Fantasy book I liked(more like loved) so much since. Until today.C.L. Wilson has blown my mind with this book. I was bewitched into loving it from page 5 and stayed that way until the very last sentence. The characters and the world they live in are absolutely brilliant. I tried to go into this book with reservations and realism, that as most first books in series go, they are not the best of the bunch. Mostly because there is so much introduction and world building to do. Well my hat is off to C.L. Wilson for proving me wrong. In a world where Fey and Tairen Soul(Fey individual with the capability to transform in to Feline creatures with enourmous power) are related and living in a state of extinction. The last Tairen Soul, Rain, must set out to the human world to find his people's cure so that they may survive and be fruitfull once more.He finds much more than that. He finds his Truemate, Ellysetta, and in her, the hope that he may once again know happiness. But for that, Ellysetta must accept their bond and give her self into the extraordinary love they share.Ellysetta never imagined that her simple life could get so complicated, and so amazing. Being claimed by the the Tairen Soul has been her life's dream, and now that its become a reality, she will be tested at every turn. But there is a dark secret in Ellysetta's past. One that is related with the Fey's most dangerous enemies, the Mage. The War between the Mage(or the Eld) and the Tairen Soul and Fey has not been forgoten by Rain. Even after a thousand years, he still feels the pain and sorrow of loosing his beloved to the enemy, and now he is set in protecting his Shei'tani (beloved/wife/truemate), but Ellysetta's past comes from within and even the great Tairen Soul and his love might not be enought to save, not only Ellysetta, but the rest of the worl too.To say that this book has the whole package, would probaby be an understatement. I don't think I've been as extatic and enthusiastic towards a book since...The Mage Wars! (Well, it feels that way) I am anxious and even desperate to keep reading the series, because eventhough its only been 30 minutes since I finished the book. I already miss reading about, not only Rain and Ellysetta, but the whole plot of characters and the world they live in.
