VERY cool book. Love Sam, and Brid, and the plot, and the villians, and the side characters, and the ending, and.....well you get my point.Sam is down to earth and laid back. He sounded very real and I liked that alot. There was alot of building up and explaining but unlike in other books, this didn't bug me. On the contrary, I enjoyed it. It has alot to do with the writting styles of the authors. Lish McBride has a very interesting, grabbing writting style that isn't too heavy. Very cool. And funny too.The book focuses more on the complications and troubles and on Sam discovering who he is and how to move on from there, but it has some minimal romance in it which was good too. The ending left lots of openess and loose threads, so my guess is that there will be more to come.I have to share this quote that is located on page 11 of the hardback edition. Hilarious."Besides," he said, pulling out a hot pan full of pre-cooked bacon, "can I help it if the grill responds to my raw latin heat? You skinny white boys cook the burgers, but I make love to them.""That's disgusting." I said. Also one of the middle chapter's title is EVERYBODY IS KUNFU FIGHTING....LMFAO!
